My goal is to write interesting, humorous stories that make kids want to read. Topics of special interests are: multicultural literature, writing plays, and all-things-science (i.e., polar topics, animal adaptations, insects, climate change, women in science, and anything off-beat).

Forever curious, I love to research new topics, write thoughtful and informative copy, and share my learning with others. I am an experienced author who has written over 250 stories, articles, and plays, taking care to follow submission guidelines, meet deadlines, and use proper writing skills.
Patty is a fantastic writer. She wrote numerous articles for FACES, a world cultures magazine for middle school readers, of which of I was the editor from 1997-2024. She is highly-knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her topics. Patty's writing is engaging and fun. Patty always had a plethora of topics for any theme we were covering, but was also open to assignments and made the topics her own with her unique style. Her articles were thoroughly researched. She was a pro at finding experts in the field she was writing about and including interesting quotations and insights when appropriate. It was a pleasure to work with Patty for so many years. I would highly recommend her as a freelance author.
